Circus Juventas summer camps are all about creating a safe space where students can have new adventures, experience traditional and contemporary circus arts and global inspirations, and receive encouragement in a non-competitive, nurturing environment. A one-of-a-kind summer camp experience in the Twin Cities! Our camps are designed to delight, challenge, and inspire campers in new and creative ways.
Summer camps are a great way to experience the magic of circus without the year-long commitment of our regular classes. CJ coaches are committed to working individually with every student based on the students’ needs and abilities. Many of our campers return each year — and we welcome new students too.
Circus Juventas offers four types of summer camp options: Performance week-long camps, daily sampler camps, experience camp, and teen high-flying adventure camp. All options provide an experience of ALL genres of the circus arts: aerial, acrobatics, balance, juggling, and theater. All camps run 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and are for ages 7-18. Students are assigned groups based on age. Buddy requests are available.
Campers who voluntarily withdraw from camp before May 1 are refunded all but the deposit of $125 for performance and teen camps, $75 for the experience camp, and $30 per day for sampler camps. The annual registration fee is non-refundable. Any cancellations made after May 1 are not eligible for a refund.
Sampler Camps
$95/day or $50/half day.
• Ages 7-15
• Join the circus for just one day to experience some of the thrills Circus Juventas has to offer. In the sampler camp, students rotate through different act and apparatus stations for a range of experiences. Choose one day or several. Half-day option (mornings) available.
• Half-day camp option runs mornings only (9 a.m.-12 p.m.).
(FULL) Week-Long Performance Camps
$475/week.
• Ages 7-15
• Immerse yourself in circus! Students explore their own abilities, face new challenges, and celebrate the end of camp with a special performance for family and friends. The performance camp makes circus arts approachable in a fun and supportive way.
• Performance for family and friends on Friday at 2:00 pm.
(FULL) Experience Camp
$285/week.
• Ages 7-15
•Discover circus arts over three days! Students will explore a range of acts and apparatus stations, with the opportunity to move from an introduction of acts to expanding abilities.
Teen High-Flying Adventure Camp
$450/week.
• Ages 13-18
• An exhilarating combination of our most thrilling acts, this camp is an adventure you’ll remember for a lifetime. Acts include Flying Trapeze, Bungee Trapeze, High Wire Walking, and German Wheel.
For safety of fliers and coaches, students must weigh less than 175 pounds and be at least 4’10” in height to participate in the flying trapeze portion of camp.
Sampler Camps
For ages 7-15. Sign up per day; full- and half-day options available. No performance at the end of the week. $95/day or $50/half day.
