Circus Juventas is currently seeking a Program Registrar
Job Title: Program Registrar
Status: Full time/Salaried
Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota
Job Summary:
Life at Circus Juventas is about striving for new levels of excellence in artistry, athleticism, mental acuity and creativity. The largest circus school in North America is seeking candidates who have a broad intellectual perspective, strong leadership skills, and a high degree of personal integrity and professionalism to a complex and unique school. Circus Juventas enrolls 1,000 students in our year-round out-of-school program, and 400 students in six weeks of summer day camps. The Program Registrar is responsible for taking a practical overview of the implementation and administration of all aspects of the program.
Responsibilities include:
- Strong technical and data skills – must be proficient in Microsoft Access and Excel, and be comfortable learning registration software, Active Network.
- Strong project management skills – Must have a formal method for tracking project tasks, person assigned to task and duration of task. Needs to be able to manage multiple projects that share the same resources, particularly people.
- Experience managing complex scheduling requirements – Responsible for overseeing and working collaboratively with other departments on quarterly class registration, session schedules (acquiring intimate knowledge of circus acts, equipment, and arena space), and show orders.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, creatively, and collaboratively with executives, artists, coaches, students, and parents.
- Willingness to provide general support for various additional projects as needed and be a team player.
- Variable schedule – Three times per year, during registration, additional hours may be required. In addition, periodically throughout the year some evening and weekend hours may be required.
Summary
Our ideal candidate is an experienced project and data manager, communicator and team player who also is willing to embrace an atypical work environment. Program registrar must be knowledgeable or interested in learning about circus arts curriculum, terminology, and unique requirements for each act.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years administrative, and/or project management experience
- Proficient in data management in MS Access and Excel
- Ability to learn new software as needed
Bonus skills
- Experience with Active Network.

Job Summary:

The largest youth performing arts circus school in North America is seeking candidates who have a broad intellectual perspective, strong leadership skills, and a high degree of personal integrity and professionalism. Circus Juventas enrolls 1,000 students in our year-round out-of-school program, and 500 students in six weeks of summer day camps. As a member of a small, close-knit administrative team, you will be part of the engine that keeps the entire organization running, providing support with data management, registration, and managing family accounts. You will also manage and create content for social media platforms and newsletters. This is a full-time position with benefits.
Responsibilities include:
- Administrative duties: You will be an integral part of the administrative team, assisting with and executing processes and policies related to registration and enrollment, front desk reception, student absences, and work study support. To be successful in this role, you are detail-oriented, well-organized, able to manage multiple priorities and timelines, and a collaborative team player with a proactive focus.
- Customer relations: You will be a friendly, knowledgeable resource for students and families in person, by email, and on the phone in ways that consistently support the mission. This role will include some evening hours during class sessions. To be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication skills, a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to provide follow-through.
- Box Office Support: You will work as a support to the box office and ticketing operations during the summer, holiday, and spring performances, including acting as a staff box office lead or concierge for public performances. To be successful in this role, you will understand and follow established procedures in a fast-paced environment with the ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, creatively, and collaboratively with executives, artists, coaches, students, and parents.
- Willing to acquire a knowledge of circus acts, equipment, and arena space.
- Variable schedule: You will work a set weekly schedule that includes varied day, weekend, and evening hours (TBD upon hiring). You’ll also be engaged in organizational events, such as performances and our annual gala.

The Administrative Associate will be crucial in supporting the administrative team during our registration processes and performances and in supporting our students and families with excellent customer service.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-directed team player who can work well within a small department and is willing to jump in and learn on the job.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, often unpredictable environment.
- At least two years of customer-facing work experience (school, youth programming, client/account management, box office, customer service, or similar).
- Experience with Microsoft suite (Office, Word, Excel, Access).
- Attention to detail and ability to assess needs and make recommendations/take actions accordingly.
Bonus skills
- Experience working with youth.
- Experience with Active Network and/or database management.

Circus Juventas is currently seeking an Aerial Circus Coach
Job Title: Aerial Circus Coach
Status: Full time/Hourly
Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota
Job Summary: Coach a variety of Circus Acts to students, using a safe and progressive coaching methodology. Primarily coaching Aerial acts within our Professional Program and advanced youth program. Ensure a fun, inclusive, and safe class environment for all students of varying skill levels.
Essential Duties:
- Coach Aerial Circus arts in a clear and progressive style, to all students enrolled in each class
- Ensure the safety and management of risks associated with learning circus arts, for each individual student (e.g. acrobatic content, use of equipment, use of safety lines and spotting…)
- Create a fun and inclusive learning environment for all students under your supervision.
- Coach in an engaging, dynamic and creative way. To inspire our students to be their best.
- Under the direction of the Artistic Director, create and train circus acts for performances throughout the calendar year.
- Assist in all aspects of creating content for annual shows and performances.
- Collaborate with other coaches of various disciplines, to create acrobatic content for circus acts.
- Adhere to rules and guidelines, set forth in the Circus Juventas Coaching Handbook.
- Evaluating of student’s acrobatic level for advancement through the Circus Juventas program levels.
- Report any safety or rigging concerns to Arena and/or Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Three or more years Coaching Aerial Circus Arts in a professional or youth setting.
- Ability to coach Aerial Hoop/Lyra, Spanish Web, Aerial Silks, Aerial Straps and other aerial disciplines.
- Collaborative team player, with a positive attitude.
- Act creation and choreography experience.
- Love of the Performing Arts and love of working with youth.
- Past professional Circus and performing experience a plus.
