Sarah Decker
Sarah supports CJ as the administrative associate to the school as well as set dressing and soft sculpting for the set department. She draws on her diverse professional experience and artistic background to bring a unique perspective and enthusiasm for positive youth development to all that she does here! Her professional career has spanned many industries like retail, marketing, finance, operations and HR to name a few. She is a jill- of- all- trades, and leans on her creativity and ‘scrappiness’ to execute events and manage projects with efficiency and attention to detail. Her education began with Studio and installation art and finished with an Apparel manufacturing degree with an emphasis on surface design and textiles. She spent her internship shadowing local legend, Marliss Jensen of Iris Color Studio, learning dying techniques and garment distressing for the Minnesota Opera and the Guthrie. In her free time, she is a mixed media children’s book illustrator creating 3D/diorama style artwork and loves to hunt for vintage fabric and botched taxidermy at thrift stores and antique stores.
