Circus Juventas gave Taste of the NFL ticketholders another reason to be awed. Circus Juventas student performers were in the spotlight along with top chefs from each NFL city, NFL players, celebrities and business leaders to raise money to fight hunger. The event is called Party with a Purpose, and money raised is distributed to food shelfs in every NFL city. Locally, funds will go to Second Harvest Heartland.
Taste of the NFL was held the night before the Super Bowl LII game, Saturday, Feb 3, at the Saint Paul River Centre, 175 West Kellogg Boulevard, Saint Paul, MN. The inaugural Taste event launched in Minnesota for Super Bowl XXVII in 1992.
Circus Juventas carefully chose its acts to match the strength and agility displayed by NFL players at their physical peak. Acts included eye-popping displays of strength with the 3-man hand-balancing act and Russian bar, as well as aerial acrobatics on silks dropped from the ceiling. A myriad of additionally-challenging acts include: performers traveling on top of 3-foot globes, single and duo unicyclists maneuvering through the crowds, contortionists who will make you want to set your plate down, RolaBola balancing board team and jugglers tossing everything but the delicious food!
