Isaac Schoepp
Growing up, Isaac’s family decided to become a juggling troupe when he was 7 and toured the country for 12 years. Thinking he was done with the performing life he went to university but ended up with a theatre and humanities degree. Upon graduation Isaac took a 6-week detour in the Pacific Ocean on the tallship Robert C. Seamans with Sea Education Association. He landed in Chicago at Lookingglass Theatre and The Actors Gymnasium. For the next 15 years Isaac specialized in their unique brand of circus-infused theatre. He took many circus classes with Sylvia Hernandez-DiStasi, clown classes with Paola Coletto, Marc Frost, and Adrian Danzig, learned theatre and circus rigging, and wore many hats – Rigging Designer, Performer, Deck Crew, Clown, Master Carpenter, Technical Director, among others. From 2011-2022 he also coordinated the Freshman Drama Workshop at his alma mater, Valparaiso University, where each fall he led 80 honors students in a 12-week new-play workshop. He loves organizing things and finding creative and elegant technical solutions to artistic problems. Isaac is thrilled to join the amazing CJ team.
