Circus Juventas is proud to associate with a number of national and international circus organizations.
Our Global Community
World Circus Federation (WCF)
Circus Juventas’ artistic director, Betty Butler, sits on the advisory board of this international organization, which exists for the sole purpose of preserving circus traditions for future generations.
American Youth Circus Organization (AYCO)
As a member organization, Circus Juventas is one of many circus schools in the country which, like AYCO, promote the participation of youth in the circus arts.
Cirque du Soleil
This internationally acclaimed, Montreal-based entertainment company is recognized for the highest quality of circus performance and is an annual sponsor of CJ’s summer productions.
European Federation of Professional Circus Schools (FEDEC)
Through its membership with AYCO, Circus Juventas associates with this organization, which was established to build relationships between vocational circus schools that share similar educational objectives.
Sailor Circus
CJ founders and Sailor Circus alumni Dan and Elizabeth “Betty” Butler started their circus careers at this internationally recognized program, the oldest youth circus in the country, known across the globe as “The Greatest ‘Little’ Show on Earth.” They continue to support the program, attending anniversary celebrations, amongst other events, throughout the year.
Florida State University Flying High Circus
CJ founders Dan and Elizabeth “Betty” Butler trained for four years with this unique, year-round program while pursuing their undergraduate degrees, at one of only two collegiate circuses in the United States. The Butlers continue to attend and participate in alumni events and have hired many FSU alums to rig and coach at Circus Juventas.
